As from Wednesday July 1st, our open competitions will be resurrected, booking for members can be done through the pro shop or the office (or pre-payed online), these are all live for booking now.
As from Saturday June 20th we will start a restructured gent’s competition programme (For FULL 7 day members). The main priority is to play all major board competitions and to fit some other various competitions in throughout the year.
NEW MEMBERS CLARITY ON BOARD COMPETITIONS
Once you have posted your 3 cards for your initial handicap, 6 more singles medal scores need to be returned before being eligible to win board competition. But you are eligible to win your divisional prize. If you have transferred from another club with an active handicap, you are eligible to win board competition.
New members who have not yet posted their 3 cards for a handicap are not eligible to enter any competition until they have an official handicap. Once you have done your 3 cards please post them into the office and a club official will issue you a handicap as soon as possible.
This is going to be difficult with the covid restrictions until the howdidido partnership is up and running (hopefully by the end of June), so until then all score cards will be put in the box following your round and will be entered manually by a club official.
We have missed 4 board competitions this year, these will be filtered into the new competition programme. On Saturday 20th June we will be playing our first rearranged board competition the Harold Barnes Trophy (singles stroke play), this will go live for booking TOMORROW NIGHT (Friday 11th June) at 7pm on BRS.
The new competition programme will be emailed out to members once finalised.
We would encourage ALL members to download the howdidido app, register yourself and sign in. Our club software (Club V1) is setting up a partnership with howdidido, and its main objective is to allow our members to sign in and submit their own scores (singles play) via their own mobile devices without the need for cards or touchscreens and would need to be verified in the same way by your playing partners. This is one option that we as a Club may need to pursue until the clubhouse is back up and running.
