1. Out of Bounds (Rule 18.1)
a) Beyond boundaries of golf course defined by fence or white stakes.
b) In or on the club house and car park.
c) Tractor sheds between 13th & 16th holes defined by white stakes.
d) 1st hole:- In or beyond ditch to left, on bridge beyond white line.
e) 2nd & 3rd hole:- In or beyond stream to the right.
f) 5th, 6th & 7th hole :- In or beyond the ditch to the right.
g) 9th Hole:- In or beyond the ditch on the right and behind the green, also on the bridge beyond the white line.
h) 16th hole:- In or beyond the ditch on the left defined by white stakes and in alignment with white posts on out of bounds fence to the right of 5th hole.
i) 17th hole:- The pond on the right of fairway (when playing the 17th hole).
2. Water Hazards and Lateral Water Hazards
Water hazards as defined by yellow stakes Rule 26-1 on course and Lateral Water Hazards as defined by red stakes. Rule 26-1 on course.
3. Ground Under Repair (GUR) (Rule 16.1)
a) Any area marked by green keepers.
b) All re-enforced paths.
c) Any areas or ditch defined by blue stakes.
d) The garden behind the 18th green, (please use drop zone provided).
e) Tractor ruts through the green and on the fairway as defined under GUR.
f) Materials piled for removal and holes made by the green keeper even if not so marked.
g) Grass cuttings and other materials left on the course that have been abandoned and are not intended to be removed and are NOT ground under repair unless so marked (see a & f).
4. Fixed sprinkler Heads (Rule 16)
All fixed sprinkler heads and valve covers are an immovable obstruction and relief from interference may be taken under rule 24-2. In addition, if such an obstruction is on or within two club lengths of the putting surface, of the hole being played, intervenes on the line of play between the ball and the hole, relief may be taken under rule 24-2b.
5. Practice Putting Green (Rule 25-3)
A ball coming to rest on the practice green or stone filled border must be played from the drop zone adjacent to the practice putting green, without penalty.
6. Stones In Bunkers (Rule 15.1)
Stones in bunkers are movable obstructions, rule 24-1 applies.
7. Distance Measuring Devices (Rule 4.3)
As defined by the R&A in the rules of golf.
8. Other Local Rules and Conditions of Competitions
From time to time the council and/or committee will post notices and advise the professional of additional local rules relating to abnormal ground conditions and/or conditions of competition. Please read these before commencing play. 9. Etiquette (Rule 33-7) a) Divots must be replaced and firmly stamped down.
b) Please repair pitch marks on the greens.
c) Please rake the sand smooth after visiting bunkers.
d) Trolleys must never be taken onto greens or tees. Trolleys must be taken around the outside of greenside bunkers, never the greenside of the bunkers.
e) Dress code is adhered to at all times.
f) Speed of play. Any match that has lost a clear hole on the match in front must invite the match behind them through immediately.
10. Embedded Ball
Plugged balls through the green may be dropped at the nearest point without penalty (except in a hazard).
11. Penalties Clauses
Penalty for breach of a local rule:-
- Match Play – Loss of Hole
- Stroke Play -Two Strokes
- Serious breach of etiquette – Disqualification
